About: Upon leaving Jehovah’s Witnesses at 18 y/o, I found therapy to be immensely helpful in rebuilding my life from the ground up. However, most therapists had little familiarity with the depth to which high-control religious conditioning penetrates the mind and soul. I often wished for someone who not only understood, but was equipped to help rewrite this unique brand of conditioning.

After earning my doctorate in clinical psychology and accumulating over ten years experience as a psychotherapist, I am so happy to be able to offer that kind of specialized attention to others who have taken the courageous step of emancipating themselves from similar organizations.

Recovery therapy provides an opportunity to re-examine your values, embracing those which empower you and rewriting those which do not, as well as offering the emotional and social support which is so often lacking when leaving high-control groups. Having the right support can be immensely helpful for navigating the transition to the world beyond, and not just surviving, but thriving.

If you are feeling lost or alone, secure in your decision to leave but unsure of how to proceed in this new version of reality, I encourage you to reach out to me. I offer a full first session at no cost, and flexible rates for those with financial limitations.

If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to email me or visit my website for more info. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Ryan Lee, Psy.D

About: Creating an inclusive best practice model of private practice for all therapists | Author | Trial Preparation Consultant.

The National Guild of Australian Therapists is unique.

Our vision is to bring together traditional, complementary and alternative therapeutic practitioners into an inclusive and cohesive best practice model of private practice, incorporating a supervision and continuing professional development program for all members, regardless of modality.

The Guild is for all therapeutic practitioners who have a desire, dream, goal or aspiration to be in private practice. You may be a student, graduate, employee or existing private practice practitioner.

We believe that all practitioners should be operating in an ethical paradigm no matter their modality or mode of practice.

We believe that all practitioners, regardless of their modality, should be undertaking regular supervision.

The National Guild of Australian Therapists is unlike any other association.

We are not a directory, nor are we a group to lobby the government.

We do not seek Medicare Provider numbers as a ‘matter of course’.

Our focus is on inspiring and guiding therapists to be ‘best practice’ practitioners in their private practice.

My passion for advocating for the thousands of people who graduate every year from tertiary education, in circumstances that don’t help them find employment or assist their start in private practice, led me to found this Guild.

I am vitally interested in debunking the myths around private practice, putting the dogma back into its kennel, and creating a paradigm diametrically opposed to the current model of elitism, exclusion and disenfranchisement that currently exists within the helping profession in Australia today.

Over the last four years, I have been involved in assisting hundreds of therapists develop and fine tune their private practice goals and aspirations.

Patricia Reilly

Website: beyondthemasks.com

Email: patricia.reilly3@bigpond.com

I am an Expressive Therapist, Counsellor, Educator, Leader and Author.

I specialise in the following areas:

Building resilience and emotional regulation in children and adults through meditation and mindfulness –

as a former early childhood and primary educator, I feel very strongly that teachers, carers and indeed parents have a responsibility to assist the children for whom they are responsible to develop these life skills.

Mindfulness in the treatment of suicidal individuals –

with both personal experience and educational background, I bring a vast array of knowledge, understanding and expertise.

The latest statistics have shown the rate of death by suicide increasing throughout the country which indicates how important it is for young children to develop emotional intelligence, resilience and the ability to regulate their emotions.

Meditation and mindfulness for depression and bipolar disorder –

bipolar disorder is highly recurrent and rates of comorbidity are high. Studies have pointed to anxiety comorbidity as one factor associated with risk of suicide attempts and poor overall outcome. Depression being a condition of general emotional dejection and withdrawal; sadness greater and more prolonged than that warranted by any objective reason.

My techniques taught through meditation and mindfulness play a great part in enabling those facing depression or bipolar disorder to maintain themselves in a ‘safe’ zone.

Loss and Grief –

the journey of personal experience in the loss of my son through suicide, and the journey as a mother, wife and educator in helping my family go through the process of grief, and face the ripple effects of suicide.

There are very few of us fortunate enough not to have been touched by the loss of a family member, friend or acquaintance to suicide. My journey has enabled me to help others process, and manage their own grief.

To engage my services for group or individual consults or speaking please contact me.

Lee Lee Crow

Website: ariseandshinecounselling.com/

Email: leelee@iinet.com.au

About: Counsellor at Arise & Shine Family Therapy and Counselling.

As a therapist, I am familiar with multiculturalism and I greatly respect all cultures, religious and spiritual beliefs. I work within the framework of Dr Litchfield’s Family Therapy Model based on Christian principals and its eclectic approach in therapy. The three approaches to therapy are:

  • A systemic approach (Murray Bowen’s family systems theory with its eight interlocking concepts)
  • A strategic approach (actively working with the family to find solutions to its problems)
  • A structural approach (family restructuring for improved functioning)

Human beings are spirit, soul and body. The fact that human beings have a spiritual (religious) dimension cannot be ignored in counseling if it is to be fully effective. Therefore balanced and effective counseling requires the integration of theology, psychology and spirituality. Theology involves an accurate awareness of need, Psychology involves an accurate awareness of self, and Spirituality involves the healing relationship.

About: ACEs & Trauma Informed Trainer & Consultant

I’m passionate about addressing the root causes of our individual and collective social and environmental conflicts.
Trauma, especially from not having our needs met during early life development, has been identified as the number one public health issue we are not dealing with. If we’re not affected directly, we are affected indirectly, because people around us are affected and influence our experience.
Being Trauma-Informed includes knowing extensively about ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and how we can interact with each other in safe, respectful, collaborative, empowering ways between individuals and within the larger contexts of our organizations, communities, and society.

Being Trauma-Informed is a way of being. It’s a consciousness shift that inspires compassion, empathy, and radical self-honesty.

I have been an adult trainer since 2004, particularly in the areas of personal development and workplace health and wellness.
Since 2014, I’ve been accumulating knowledge and promoting universal access to understanding ACEs and Trauma Informed knowledge.

I founded the Canadian ACEs and Trauma-Informed Network on ACEsConnection.com and ACEs Canada, a collective of Canadians seeking to collaborate to create ACEs-Informed and Trauma-Informed Canada.

If you are curious about ACEs and how to become Trauma-Informed, contact me. I offer training and consulting, counselling and peer support.

Contact me today to discuss how developing an ACEs and Trauma-Informed lens will benefit you, your colleagues, and your organization.

About: As an expert in the field of Career Counselling, I’m often asked about success and what it means to have a successful career. Here’s the answer:

Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it (thanks, Maya Angelou!).

While this definition of success is simple, it’s definitely not straight forward to achieve. Think about it – can you honestly say “yes” too each of Maya’s success criteria? Figuring out how to be successful, and feel successful in your career is complex business…

That’s where I come in! My mission is to help individuals (like you!) and organizations clarify what success means to them and figure out how they can make that success a reality.

I’m a Registered Psychologist (trained in Counselling Psychology) who focuses on Career and Workplace Psychology. Since 2016, I’ve led the Ontario Division of Canada Career Counselling – a national firm recognized as a leading provider of career-development services in Canada.

Regarding my work with individuals, I specialize in career planning, career decision making, and career strategy (often related to leadership development, conflict, communication, assertiveness, and/or professional branding). I also support clients with personal concerns such as relationship issues, confidence and self-esteem, and mental health.

In my work with teams and organizations, my goal is to enhance workplace culture and employee effectiveness. I also strive to support psychological health in the workplace.

I’ve got a track record of success, and at the end of the day, my clients walk away feeling clear about their career-related choice(s), and confident about navigating the road to success.

If you’re interested in working with me or learning more about how I can help you, please reach out to Canada Career Counselling:

About: We run remarkable voluntary anger management groups in Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey that are recognized by the courts. Those who attend our individual or group programs state that even after one session the feel “inspired”, “optimistic”, “motivated”, and “hopeful”. We love this work because of the impact on our clients, but even more importantly on the loved ones in these people’s lives who report back to us that things are more peaceful in the home, and that they feel safer and more relaxed as time goes on.

We are a team of highly skilled therapists who are passionate about touching peoples’ lives in a manner that brings about grounded, wise responses to anger and conflict. I love to hear about how our work allows people to live a life more true to themselves. While most come our way of their own volition, many are strongly encouraged/directed by their company/organization to attend due to discipline or for personal growth. We have a program that is recognized by the courts, so lawyers, and even judges have referred people our way. Those who attend get a copy of the book we have written on this topic, which is available for sale on our website, www.angerman.ca, and get a certificate of attendance at the end of the last session to signify completion of either the six hour individual program, or the 12 hour group program.

About: Counsellor based on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border

Before going into counselling as a profession, I experienced its potential first hand as a client. Following a complex start to life and a serious breakdown, I eventually had the courage to seek help. I was fortunate enough to be enrolled on an intense programme of integrative counselling, where I was supported to face past demons and develop skills and strategies in order to cope with life again and to progress. I cannot emphasise how much of a transformation those people bought out in me. I walked in broken, almost completely unable to function day to day, and after 3 years intensive support, became the person I am today.

Having seen first hand the benefits of in depth and structured counselling support, I have a deep level of understanding not only about how this works but how much it can help people. Speaking from experience, I know that in the most extreme cases, in depth psychodynamic counselling can literally turn people around, provide hope where it seemed there was none before, and provide people with the opportunity to re-build their lives and allow them the opportunity to hope and believe again.

To me this is more than just a job. Since training in psychodynamic and person centered counselling, it has become the driving force behind everything that I do. I have worked both face to face and also providing telephone counselling support, and believe that both have the power to achieve amazing results.

I am a passionate provider of counselling practice and do not believe in a ‘one size fits all approach’. Though I practice in psychodynamic and person centered counselling, I believe that a thorough evaluation process should be undertaken before any counselling is offered, and that professionals should work together to ensure that each person receives not only the type of counselling that is best for them, but also that they receive help from the right person within that specialism.

About: Director at New Horizons Network.

As a counsellor, supervisor and trainer with over 20 years of experience I have been privileged to have worked with many courageous people from all walks of life, cultures and backgrounds. I have worked with adults, children, young people and couples who have faced difficulties in their lives and with the help of counselling they have been able to explore what’s troubling them, discover where their beliefs have come from, gain more control and a better understanding of themselves. This has then enabled the possibility of change from often repeating patterns of the past.

I am a member of the BACP and accredited member of COSRT and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I have a wealth of experience working with a diverse client group within the statutory, charitable and criminal justice system. For a number of years I ran a specialist counselling service for young people and adolescents. I have also worked within the addictions field as a counsellor and group facilitator for a drug and alcohol treatment centre.

For many years I have specialised in sexual abuse working with survivors and also in my previous employment with the NSPCC .

I am also a qualified psychosexual and relationship therapist. Many relationships go through difficulties and if you are experiencing problems with erectile dysfunction, rapid ejaculation, vaginismus or lack of sexual desire, psycho sexual therapy can help you to explore those issues and get your relationship back on track.

I offer an environment that is supportive, warm, free from judgement and confidential. I offer an inclusive, non-jugemental, confidential, safe space for clients of all races, religions, genders and sexualities. The difficult experiences we go through in childhood and as adults can leave us with invisible scars that still hurt years after the events. Others may not be able to see them, but you feel them. You may be experiencing deep rooted pain and feelings such as sadness, anger, shame and anguish. These feelings can cause you to feel depressed or anxious and stop you from living your life the way you would like to. The weight of these thoughts and feelings can have an affect on the way you see yourself and you may find it hard to let others in. They may cause you to feel not good enough, have self doubt and feel unable to trust in yourself or others. These feelings are normal when you are living with the scars others have left you with. Through the counselling process I will support you to work through and release the feelings that are weighing you down, increase your self-esteem and find healthier ways of coping. Gain confidence and trust in yourself and move forward with your life. Issues I have supported clients with include: *Anxiety *Depression *Self-harming *Low Self-esteem *Low Motivation *Identity Issues *Gender Issues *Eating Disorders *Trauma *Abuse (emotional, sexual and physical) *Relationship Issues (intimate, family, friendships *Bereavement and Loss I am aware how scary and overwhelming seeking a Counsellor can be. About: Integrative trauma psychotherapist and counsellor, Brainspotting therapist, ACTO supervisor. Private practice and work at the Clinic for Dissociative Studies. SCID-D clinical assessor that can diagnose dissociative disorders. I am also a Director at ACTO The Association of Counselling and Therapy. I have worked as a trauma psychotherapist for 12 years now and before that as a volunteer for refugees with traumatic stories and nursery children with special educational needs. As a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and counsellor I have helped those who have escaped cults and those caught in cult experiences overseas. My training also included courses in dissociation and complex PTSD. Since I was 15, I have been a member of Amnesty International so understood trauma was occurring in many places including the UK. I also joined Sock Mob homeless volunteer group so would hear trauma stories there. At one stage after escaping my second cult like place I also became a rough sleeper in London. I was a volunteer at the Refugee Council before it moved to Brixton and as I seemed skilled in trauma even before training in psychotherapy I helped those with war, torture etc stories. As a psychotherapist I work with those from varied trauma experiences.

I also had counselling for my experiences so saw first hand how helpful it can be. Cult experiences can start from birth and various stages over one’s lifespan. You may also need support if you a family member who lost a relative to a cult or control group.

While studying BSc Counselling (BACP Accred.) at the University of East London, I worked in an IAPT service and since graduating in 2017 I have continued to work in the field of Mental Health, particularly within further and higher education. My interest in contributing to the wellbeing of students grew from identifying the value that individuals placed on their education and success in accordance to their own worth, being and identity and the gap between this and the level of support that students were being offered in higher education. I support individuals with mental health conditions through their educational journey and have supported students studying at the University of Greenwich, Goldsmiths University, Kings College London, London Metropolitan University, Queen Mary University and the University of Westminster.
I consult educational establishments on how to improve their mental health service, including offering a bespoke schedule of wellbeing workshops for students.

About: BSc, Msc, FHEA, MBPsS, Registered Member MBACP, PgDip Counsellor and Psychotherapist at Henrietta Geary Counselling.

I strongly believe in the individual; we all develop in different ways and have our own struggles. I believe that with help and support we can each, regardless of background or position, feel valued and contribute.

For some of us that may mean coming to terms with overcoming life’s challenges, for others it may mean studying for growth or to improve career prospects. My life is driven by this belief in people.

As an Open University (OU) tutor I am passionate about the OU’s work in supporting growth in our students, enabling them to fulfill their potential and dreams. Our country needs people who are determined to overcome challenges, grow and contribute to society.

Our mission in the OU is to “be open to people, places, methods and ideas. We promote educational opportunity and social justice by providing high-quality university education to all who wish to realise their ambitions and fulfil their potential”.

I am proud to have contributed to the many changes that we have embraced over the past decades and continue to embrace.

I am a Visiting Lecturer at Redlands University, California.

As part of my portfolio approach to my career, I work as a pluralistic psychotherapist and counsellor. As a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association of Psychotherapy and Counselling) I have a busy private practice where I undertake both short and long term work. I also work with charities providing free counselling to local residents.

Contributing to society has always been part of my life. I am a Board Trustee of a number of charities and a Director of a number of companies. I was an Accountant for several years and have worked in Finance and Administration – skills that I now employ in my work as a Trustee and Director

About: I have experience of working in the addiction field for over 11 years both as a trainer and intervention worker.

I currently own and work for Beauty For Ashes Counselling Service which was formed in April 2018.

Beauty For Ashes was birthed from my own personal journey of suffering. As Dieter Utchdorf said “as I look over my own life, it is apparent that many times of great growth have come to me while passing through stormy seasons.”

We work in an integrative way, drawing on different counselling approaches based on your needs as a client and may include person centred, psychodynamic and sand play therapy.

At the heart of the work is a focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship that creates trust and respect so problems can be explored in an open, non-judgemental way.

I am also employed on a sessional basis within a counselling capacity for ASCERT and Inspire Mental Health and Nexus.

I have worked with a variety of issues including relationship difficulties, anxiety, eating disorders, mental health, trauma, abuse, addiction and self-harm to name a few.

Northern Ireland,Belfast

PJ Toal MNCS (Accred)

Email: counsellorpj@gmail.com

About: As an integrative Counsellor I draw on elements of different perspectives and provide a unique therapy which can be adapted to suit a client’s needs. I use the insights and techniques of Humanistic Counselling, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, to gain a deeper understanding of your concerns and work towards a new and happier sense of self. Below is a very brief description of the approaches I use in my practice which you may find present in our therapy sessions together. These approaches build a strong foundation for our therapeutic relationship to grow in a safe and supporting environment.

By integrating Jacob’s and Egan’s counselling Models as a framework, I am able to integrate different theories and approaches as required by my individual clients. Humanistic Counselling offers a non-judgemental relationship between the therapist and client; this enables the client to explore what they need and want in the ‘here and now,’ and how they can reach this goal. Gestalt Therapy in particular focuses on the development of the client’s holistic awareness of themselves, their circumstances and how they live in those circumstances. During this therapy various therapeutic tools and creative mediums may be used.

Psychodynamic Therapy focuses on unconscious thought processes which manifest themselves in a client’s behaviour. The approach seeks to increase a client’s self-awareness and understanding of how the past has influenced present thoughts and behaviours, by exploring their unconscious patterns. Clients are encouraged to explore unresolved issues and conflicts, and to talk about important people and relationships in their life. By using this approach I offer a safe holding and containing environment in which I aim to build trust and autonomy.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy works on exploring how negative thoughts and feelings can affect our behaviour and how different aspects of these can be changed to resolve a particular problem or issue.

About: Whether you want to build awesome personal relationships or fix broken ones or escape from toxic, damaging ones I can help you. I am very interested in the many types of relationships we have and how they affect our lives. Problems with relationships in our lives can leave us feeling misunderstood, anxious & depressed. We can all at times have intense feelings that we find difficult to control or communicate. Getting angry & stressed instead. This often makes things worse & we can end up pushing those we want close to us away. This can be a lonely & isolating place to be in. Whether it be relationships with:

*family

*friends

*neighbours

*work

*or issues such as binge eating, intimacy, money, drugs, gambling, strippers, gaming etc

We cannot avoid relationships. The trouble is they can be stressful to deal with, especially when trying to work out acceptable boundaries or forgive or trying to repair damaged relationships. Some of us turn inwards as a coping strategy – towards risky behaviour, self harming or or isolating ourselves even.

I Specialise In Supporting epic professionals who want to have exceptional relationships. I am passionate about helping adults & young people grow by increasing their self awareness through helping them understand themselves better. I believe our relationship with “self” holds the key to many of our issues. Crack this relationship and all else will follow – increased confidence, self-belief & empowerment. As a result other relationships get much easier. Life becomes awesome!!

My approach is to provide you with genuine, compassionate, kind, down to earth, pragmatic and proactive care. I use a combination of talking and creative therapies. I also offer walk and talk therapy.

My primary focus is not to fix your problems, but to empower you. I achieve this by giving you a supportive safe space where you can work through your problems. I shall share with you my powerful personal experience and professional expertise in helping you. I will work towards supporting you so you will leave enabled to embrace life.

I work with a diverse clientele, having extensive experience with working with clients in the creative, tech & sporting industries. I specialise with eating disorders, money or sexual issues. I have a personal interest in anxiety and depression and work with adults and young people to help them make sense of the world they live in and gain coping strategies

About:  I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist and specialise in working with former members of abusive groups and relationships, including cults and spiritual abuse. I have developed a relational psychoeducational counselling model for working with former cult members (Time Away for Post Cult Counselling), in order to help clients critically apraise what they went through, and to help them understand the dynamics of coercive control, undue influence, trauma, and spiritual and sexual abuse.

Time Away for Post-Cult Counselling often includes intensive retreat aspects in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District National Park to the West of Sheffield. Clients stay in a B&B, hotel or holiday cottage and come to see me in my consulting room for up to 4 hours a day. This combines time away from everyday life, being in a beautiful countryside setting, making sense of the cult experience, and emotional support.

I have described this approach in a Chapter entitled: ‘Relational Psychoeducational Intensive—Time Away for Postcult Counselling’ in the new book published by International Cultic Studies Association: ‘Cult Recovery: A Clinician’s Guide to Working With Former Members and Families’ – Editors: Lorna Goldberg, William Goldberg, Rosanne Henry, Michael Langone (2017).

I conducted a qualitative, constructivist Ground Theory doctoral research project at The University of Nottingham, England, and graduated in December 2016. I asked 29 former cult members what they think helps former members recover from an abusive cult experience. My thesis is entitled: ‘Freeing the Authentic-Self: Phases of Recovery and Growth from an Abusive Cult Experience.’ Summary below.

I am a trained supervisor with a Diploma in Supervision from the Sherwood Institute.

I am an international speaker and a published author.

I enjoy using Play Therapy & Art Therapy techniques along with Sand Tray work. Color Therapy is also amazing to watch children & adults alike.

I specialize in working with children with trauma. It is amazing how resilient they are and how much they actually teach me as they work through their “stuff”. I see children as seeds of our future. If we can teach them to use the tools they already have, but just have not learned to use them yet, then the future for all of us will be much healthier and stable.

About: I am an intuitive healing facilitator (I don’t like the word “healer” as we are all self-healing). Sometimes one’s healing ability can be compromised by traumas, emotions and “programming” that have been unconsciously stuffed in the physical, mental and energetic aspects of Self. I am a Master in these unseen realms. I help expose and transmute the stories, robbing others of health and happiness. When the non-physical roots of dis-ease or energetic block are eliminated/transmuted, the physical/mental/emotional/spiritual aspects of Self respond in what can seem to be miraculous ways.   I utilize my own integrative modality I’ve called Perspective Reboot® which is based in unconditional love and light. Challenges people have struggled with on their own, respond to my healing resonance. I am able to help others release obsolete programming, self-limiting beLIEfs and stories that ultimately keep us from joy and wellness. Client healing experiences have been profound, but I am here to empower others to heal and find their true joy! Because I see us as more than our bodies, my assist affects physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing.   Private natural healing sessions are offered both in person (Wells, Maine or Danvers, Mass) or from my heart to yours via telephone/Skype.  I also offer a catalog of targeted healing sessions, available live stream or as MP3 downloads 24/7 in the Kore HealingSM section of my site.

I have been specializing in addiction counseling for over a decade and use different treatment modalities to assist people in moving into their truest selves, lives without addiction, whole and balanced. Addiction is a word that makes people move into denial very easily. There is more addiction in our society than most are willing or ready to deal with. There are common addictions that society sees very clearly such as alcohol and drug dependencies and then there are the others such as gambling , shopping and food that are the behavioral addictions that we see. The addictions that many are unaware of are the sensation addictions and those are addictions such as love, work, control, obsessive thinking and even suffering, just to name a few. Addiction is something that one does that causes some kind of negative consequence to their life and that can be as covert as complaining and obsessing over not getting enough attention from your partner. Addiction is about internal energy and the imbalance of that energy, energy work is part of what I assist people with to get beneath the addictive tendencies and see what is being avoided with addiction.

Specialties:

  • Energy Psychology Practitioner
  • Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor
  • Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor III
  • National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist- DIPLOMAT

Your work will continue outside of our time together, and this is why you are given care plans with objectives that you can agree to that will help you continue the journey towards the growth and healing that you desire to achieve. This also helps you to stay accountable to the work, and gives us further direction in our follow-up sessions together.

We work efficiently and at your pace to make the most of our time together, staying focused on the outcomes you desire to achieve.

My office is conveniently located and easily accessible, affording you a comfortable, clean, and organized environment that will allow you to relax and share what is on your heart.

About: I am blessed to be able to live out my calling and passion in two distinct fields – Christian Counseling and Freelance Writing.

On one hand, I am the founder of Gideon’s Sword, a counseling ministry dedicated to providing quality pastoral counseling services with a specialization in counseling ministry workers. I am and will always continue to provide pastoral counseling to lay members, but I also provide service to full and part-time church and ministry workers who need a private and safe environment to discuss their problems. Pastors need to be pastored, teachers need to be taught, and counselors need to be counseled.

On the other hand, I am also a freelance writer/editor who has been published in a number of magazines and newspapers. My areas of specialty include writing/editing articles for magazines, newspapers, and other publications, as well as helping organizations with creating corporate communication tools such as brochures, flyers, blogs, and social media copy.

About: I am a seasoned mental health clinician, consultant, and coach. I’m at my best when dealing with interpersonal communications, functional assessments, community/system-wide negotiations, and project management. Although mental health has been the focus of my career the variety of situations I have encountered have prepared me for a wider range of industries- flexibility is one of my core abilities.

I have helped thousands of clients self-manage depression, anxiety, autism and chronic illness among other conditions towards healthier living.

I’ve worn many hats in my career- life coach, psychotherapist, consultant, case manager, liaison, and crisis counselor among others. As a result I have a unique ability to manage multidisciplinary environments and challenging personalities (aka herding cats). Navigating complex challenges and systems is my specialty.

I’m fanatical about making a difference in the world, volunteerism, and finding ways to make a large scale impact on local and global communities/economies.

I love making new professional acquaintances so reach out if you want to talk global/community projects that help the underserved. I also love discussing social media applications to change the world for the better.

About
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist and specialise in working with former members of abusive groups and relationships, including cults and spiritual abuse.
